Siva-Sutras are considered to be a revealed book of the Yoga of Supreme identity of the individual self with the Divine. The importance of this work consists in the fact that it was revealed to counter the effects of dualism.  It is generally kown as Sivopanisat-sangraha-a compendium containing the secret doctorine revealed by Siva. This was revealed to Vasugupta around 9th century A.D.
